Transmission of the lamp

“In Zen we do have a transference that occurs where psychically, information – blocks of attention – are transferred to the student. But that transference can only take place with the student who spends hours and hours working on their daily life as their teacher suggests – on their meditation with a very enthusiastic, positive, hopeful, optimistic and fun attitude. Such students prepare themselves, and then you can transfer something to them.”

– Rama Dr. Frederick Lenz
